EU AI Act & AI Governance Readiness

Practical readiness for organisations building, supplying or deploying AI into European markets.

Understand where the EU AI Act may be relevant, what governance you can demonstrate today and what deserves attention next — without turning every AI question into a compliance project.

The EU AI Act does not automatically apply to every UK business using ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot

UK organisations developing, providing or deploying AI into EU markets may fall within scope. The first step is to understand your role, systems, markets and evidence.

What we review

EN 18286:2026 and ISO/IEC 42001

EN 18286:2026 is a European quality-management-system standard for EU AI Act regulatory purposes, particularly relevant to providers of high-risk AI systems. ISO/IEC 42001:2023 specifies requirements and guidance for an AI management system. Both can inform a readiness conversation; neither replaces a specific assessment of legal applicability.
